        Sentinel-2 scene planner

        Live coastal scene discovery from Copernicus STAC. This finds real Sentinel-2 L2A candidates; it does not yet classify kelp extent from them.

        Live satellite kelp extraction

        Experimental coastal canopy proxy from real Sentinel-2 pixels. This uses water masking plus FAI/NDVI thresholds, polygonizes the positive mask, and can ingest the result into the local satellite extent store.

        Satellite evidence

        This panel does not call a live satellite service. It reads the local satellite evidence store and returns the nearest saved canopy footprint, metrics, and change context for the selected site. To create a new observation, run Extract live kelp proxy above.

        Marine biodiversity (OBIS)

        Queries OBIS for marine taxa recorded near the AOI. Summaries are cached locally per site/radius and should be treated as nearby biodiversity context, not a confirmed list of species supported by the kelp forest itself.
